DISCUSSION 讨论 Fred's case raises a number of interesting and difficult questions which, we will find, enjoy a certain amount of overlap with some of the succeeding cases, and which demand serious consideration in the attempt to understand the structure and functioning of paranoid processes. Among other elements in this case, a particularly important one is the interaction and interplay of individual psychopathological elements and the elements of social disorganization and dysfunction which surrounded the patient and had a profound influence on the shape and course of his illness.
