DISCUSSION 讨论 In considering Karen's experience, and particularly in considering the remarkable transition from rigidly threatened defensiveness to a condition of tenderness and trust and even gratitude, we have a unique opportunity to focus the issues and problems related to the paranoid process. Nowhere in any of these cases is the inner dialectic between vulnerability and victimhood on the one hand and the institution of paranoid defenses on the other, more clearly or more succinctly articulated.
